Outsourcing firm Sutherland to invest $19M in Bulgarian expansion

US-headquartered information technologies (IT) outsourcing firm Sutherland Global Services will invest $19 million to step on the Bulgarian market, Dnevnik daily reported on March 24.

Its first office in Bulgaria will be in the Danube town of Rousse, where it is now looking for appropriate office spaces, looking to employ 200 IT professionals to start with, the daily quoted deputy Rousse mayor for investment, Alexander Nedelchev, as saying.

An office of similar size would also be opened in Sofia, Dnevnik reported.

Sutherland plans to spend four million US dollars on opening its Rousse office, SeeNews corporate wire said, quoting a Rousse town hall official.

Sutherland specialises in integrated business process outsourcing solutions, employing more than 21 000 people in 22 centres in India, US, Philippines, Canada, Eastern Europe and Mexico.
