Escom became distributor of Trend Micro
The new partnership was announced last week during the press conference. The local company Escom will focus on expansion of Trend Micro market share and before and after sale support to the clients. The local training center is also established. Oygen Paul, Trend Micro regional manager for SEE, said: "After accession of Bulgaria in European Union Trend Micro saw an opportunity to develop a market for our products." Katerina Orsag, Trend Micro sales manager for SEE, said they will make serious investments first and then Escom as a value-added distributor need to build a dealers' network.

Telerik will sponsor the National Olympiad in Informatics itForum
For the second year Telerik will be the official sponsor of Bulgarian National Olympiad in Informatics. The company will provide awards for the winners in all groups: notebooks, PDA, MP3 players and others. Telerik also supports organizers (Ministry of Education and other non-profit organizations) in creating the booklet and CD with tasks and solutions, as well as medals for winners. Tekerik is a software company, golden partner of Microsoft, with many successful implementations abroad. The company has a program for supporting development of yang people in IT area.

BTC will train 260 employees under European project Saga Technology
Bulgarian Telecom Company is among the firms received approval in the program "Development of human resources". 260 engineers of BTC Group will pass training for improvement of their qualification. They are from 17 cities all over Bulgaria. The training will last 16 months and includes education in computer and network technologies. The total cost of the program is almost 280 000 BGN (140 000 Euro), 83000 of them will be financed by the company, the rest form European Social Fund (85%) and national budget (15%). In Bulgaria as a whole 194 project are approved and companies will receive more than 15 million BGN for implementing the program "Development of human resources".

Kontrax will service the Health Insurance Fund servers Saga Technology
In the tender participated two companies and Kontrax was chosen because of the better price. The amount of the contract is 60000 BGN and includes service in 28 offices of National Health Insurance Fund. The order covers IBM Netfinity 5600, Fujitsu Siemens Primergy, HP Alpha and HP Proliant servers, RAID and SAN infrastructure and HP PA-RISK servers.

IBM appointed second software distributor itForum
Bulgarian company Solytron became the IBM second distributor for software products on the market. The portfolio will include all software products as Lotus, Rational, Tivoli and WebSphere. Bulgaria was among the few countries with a sole distributor till now. Seven years the software was entrusted to NDB company.
