Bulgaria's President Calls up National Security Council over Gas Crisis

Bulgaria's President Georgi Parvanov is convening the Consultative National Security Council over the terminated Russian gas supplies for Bulgaria and the Balkans, Sofia News Agency wrote. The Council meeting will take place at 2 pm on Wednesday, January 7, and will discuss various measures to alleviate the consequences from the gas crisis on the Bulgarian economy. The National Security Council will hear reports presented by the Prime Minister Sergey Stanishev, the Foreign Minister and Deputy PM Ivaylo Kalfin, and the Energy and Economy Minister Petar Dimitrov.
